Patrick Mouratoglou founded the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy in 1996 and has coached many up-and-coming players. The new Mouratoglou Academy opened its doors in Sept 2016 and is fitted with infrastructures never seen in Europe.
In 2020 Patrick opened a new Mouratoglou Tennis Academy in Dubai.
Patrick Mouratoglou was the former coach of the world no1 Tennis player Serena Williams since June 2012.
He also continues to mentor Stefanos Tsitsipas now world number 4 and teenage sensation Coco Gauff world number 7, the youngest player ever to qualify for Wimbledon in the open era.
By the time Patrick Mouratoglou started coaching Serena Williams, she had just suffered her first ever opening round defeat in the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament, losing in the first round of the 2012 French Open. Since then, Patrick Mouratoglou has guided Serena Williams to her fifth, sixth, seventh Wimbledon titles, the Olympic Gold Medal, her fourth, fifth, and sixth US Open titles, her second and third French Open titles, three consecutive year-end championships titles, her sixth Australian Open title and lifted her back to World No. 1 in the WTA rankings.
Patrick Mouratoglou has also written books on the game and how to educate to win and hosted his regular weekly programme The Coach on Eurosport.
Patrick also commentates, gives match analysis and advice on Worldwide TV channels, ESPN, Fox Asia and France TV.
In 2020, Patrick was responsible for the ‘ Ultimate Tennis Showdown ’ ( UTS ) which created a sensation in the Tennis World by adopting a shorter version of the game. Many star players have taken part namely Dominic Thiem, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Grigor Dimitrov and Matteo Berrettini amongst others. The event has been held at the Patrick Mouratoglou Academy in Nice, France.
Patrick is the current coach of former World number 1, Simona Halep and ATP Rolex Paris Masters winner, Holger Rune.
He is an inspiration throughout his Instagram and social media to tennis players around the world.
