Mark McQuillan has made huge progress in journalism since joining the industry in 2007.

He landed a job with LBC Radio – immediately after finishing his Masters in Broadcast Journalism – as a reporter, newsreader and presenter.

A little over a year later, Mark secured his first break in television, as a presenter for Setanta Sports News.

He was a regular fixture on the live, rolling sports news channel, conducting live interviews, fronting specialist shows and breaking news.

Mark then made the move to Jersey to become ITV Channel Islands’ main anchor.

The role involved reporting – and sometimes filming – during the day, then presenting the channel’s flagship, 30 minute, live news programme at 6pm.

He also has extensive experience covering sport in the islands, including Jersey Rugby Club’s promotion to the Championship, hosting the Channel Islands Sports Awards and reporting on the NatWest Island Games in the Isle of Wight and Bermuda.

In addition to being a versatile and dependable presenter, Mark is an experienced compere, having hosted a number of high profile events in Jersey and Guernsey.
