Mandira Bedi graced UK screens earlier this year as the anchor for ITV’s highly successful coverage of the Indian Premier League. An A list star in India, Mandira’s rise to fame began with the title role in Shanti a popular Indian soap opera, making her a household name across the subcontinent. She continued her career staring in Bollywood films and as a fashion model.
Passionate about cricket she was thrilled to be asked by Sony Television to host their World Cup Cricket coverage. Her appearance in a wide array of designer Sarees glamorised the male-dominated cricket world, and led to a sharp rise in viewers. Cricket-obsessed viewers across Asia were enchanted with the fresh-faced, sexy, Saree-clad presenter. Mandira is now the leading lady of Indian Cricket hosting Extra Innings -India’s answer to Match of the Day.

She presented coverage of the 2010 Indian Premier League cricket on ITV 4. Bringing glamour and an in depth knowledge of the game to UK cricket coverage, Mandira helped the channel record previously unheard of viewing figures. After launching her own line of saris, on 26 October 2013 Mandira launched her signature Sari store.
