Dawid Malan

Dawid Malan was born in Roehampton but grew up in South Africa, making his first-class debut for Boland in 2005-06.

In 2006 he played 2nd XI cricket for both Middlesex and Worcestershire, making his first-team debut for Middlesex in from of 20,000 people in a Twenty20 Cup match at The Oval. He struggled to find a first-team spot the following season, but in 2008 took his chance with both hands. An impressive run in the Twenty20 earned him a place in the Championship side, where he scored his maiden century against Northamptonshire. However, it was back in Twenty20 where he really put his marker down with an explosive 103 off 54 balls in the quarter-final against Lancashire, an innings that helped cement his place in the England Performance Squad. During the 2011 Cricket season Dawid Malan hit his career best score of 143 for Middlesex as well as scoring three hundreds in the last 4 weeks of the season. Watch out for Dawid Malan – England’s batting star of the future. Dawid made his debut for England against South Africa (his country of birth) on July 27th, 2017, at the Oval. Since then, Dawid has been a regular in the England T20 International team with his highest score. of 134 against Australia on the 17th November 2022.
